"Might be the best drone/ambient of all time, I am not sure how this can be surpassed." - Ståle Laastad
"An engrossing warmth and focus that compare to Stars of the Lid at their most involving, but with a particular vision that is all Dunn's own." - Ned Ragget, AllMusic
"Its magnificence convinces me that it is one of the best ambient drone records of recent times. It perfectly reflects the dream state; of deep sleep and kind dreams, the brilliance of a beaming light glowing onto us and caressing us out of sleep and into an awakening. Kyle Bobby Dunn encourages us to remain forever dreaming. Bon Voyage." - James Catchpole, Fluid Radio
"'Bring Me The Head Of Kyle Bobby Dunn' is two hours of utterly enveloping drone in the vein of something like Stars Of The Lid. Dunn's practice involves heavily processing electric guitar, transforming the instrument into something uncommonly rich and heartfelt. Personally this album ticks all the right drone boxes for me and even though over the last few years there have been at least one million drone albums released which all sound terribly similar this one is head and shoulders above the vast majority of them. Aaaannd it's got a great title." - Phil Leigh, Norman Records Founder
"Melancholy becomes heart-rending sadness, happiness blossoms into sheer joy. Loss, regret, love, contentment all expand to fill the time you spend with this sound. Boredom too; this is not the kind of record to reach out to grab your attention. Given time though, the initial reaction winds down to a healing calm and a sense of being cleansed." - Ian Maleney, Resident Advisor
"Dunn manages to capture a type of ongoing, merging ephemerality as the sonics beneath the surface waver and fluctuate. For a piece built so sturdily on repetition, it manages to demonstrate a sense of an ongoing and eternal present. It’s the way each second of the piece is so thoroughly unique." - Mark Gluth, Fanzine
"Of the 15 songs on Bring Me the Head, at least five are references to locations around Alberta, Canada, and I think one of them (Complétia Terrace) was recorded in Banff National Park ... His decision to name his songs for these places, along with the length of the album, puts his use of scale, space, and time in the spotlight, rather than the pitches he selects. It is more natural, after all, to describe places in terms of their space and scale rather than by means of pitch.
This separation of space, time, and pitch in his music might also explain why his songs can sound one way, but feel almost diametrically opposite. If he is composing in terms of space first and pitches second, then it is easy to imagine each element developing independently of the other. However he does it, when Kyle puts all his elements together, the result is some of the most beautiful and ambiguous music I have heard this year, and easily one of the best albums of its kind." - Brainwashed
"Dunn has a marvelous knack for propelling gently performed drone works into vanishing points of tectonic ether that bloom as they evaporate into crushing, trance-inducing soundscapes." - Tiny Mix Tapes
"The power of this lies in its depth and breadth, it has both quantity & quality, a wide open sky, free of clouds, absolutely pure, and without boundaries. The tracks flow perfectly into each other, an endless supply of next-level bliss. Nothing stands out, everything fits, and the warmth has no limits, wholly encompassing your every fiber, a homogenous universe of total perfection." - Justin Snow, Anti-Gravity Bunny Founder

Just imagine if these outtakes made it into EATEOT, the project would've been over seven hours! I love how "I Might Be Vanishing" is a stark contrast from other tracks, being only nine seconds. AG319 Alt Acc
In the music of Paul Jordan, digitally manipulated field recordings become striking electronic songs that feel eerie and surreal. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 7, 2020

More ambient wizardry by zakè and City Of Dawn. I already had the CD version, but this [redux] "diversion" is a must (😸 at least, for me!)… ✨ The Sand Traveler
